Traditional vinyl seawalls turn nearshore habitat into barren coasts. This Living Seawall Tile project proves there is a better option for armored shorelines. By transforming a vinyl seawall into a Living Seawall with 3D-printed tiles, this project brings back structure and shelter for oysters, bay sea stars, crabs, and other marine life, supporting both coastal protection and a healthier bay.

“This project by itself will be a benefit to this stretch of the shoreline, but what we also need is more people to look at their backyards, their shorelines and say ‘hey, I want to be part of the solution..”
