Platters & Artwork Dichroic Fused Glass
Each one of my platters are completely functional and food safe. I also recommend that they be hand washed. Recently I've been working with two design basics. The first one uses colorful clear glass. Most of the pieces with a lot of busy and vibrant colors use this clear glass. My second approach to designing these platters utilizes colorful opal glass on clear glass, creating a modern/retro look and feel.
I enjoy creating odd sizes for my platters, particularly long and narrow usually around 4" x 15". The long elegant curve creates a unique platter acting not only as an artistic expression but also as a functional platter perfect for appetizers or hors d'oeuvres at your next dinner party.

Thanks for visiting our website. Kind Designs Glass Studio is in Omaha, NE. I've been working with glass for 7 years. I've been focusing on unique layering techniques to create dichroic glass pendants, pins and earrings. I also make functional glass pieces, such as platters, bowls, & plates. The functional pieces mostly have a modern and retro look in the designs. I have recently been making Mezuzot, using dichroic and regular glass. The Mezuzot are beautiful and are a great gift.
In addition to my functional pieces and jewelry, I also create kiln sculptures. These are large beautiful pieces, designed to be hung in front of a window.
